Actually it's a PPPoA I'm pretty sure, but the dropping connection is only one user at a time (there are about 5-6 users at the location). That's why I think it's a client issue. The internet connection stays stable and up during the entire business day. If so then I would check the settings of the PpoE connection to make sure there isn't a "disconnect if idle for X minutes" setting. -----Original Message----- From: TheThin [mailto:TheThin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]=20 Sent: October 25, 2002 8:14 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Idle User Dropping We have a system where they recently changed ISPs. With this change they changed DSL routers as well (from a Cisco 678 to an Efficient SpeedStream 5660). Now when they stop using Citrix for a while (users report from 4 to 30 minutes of inactivity) their connections to the server are dropped with an unable to connect to server message. This is the only location that has this problem and it wasn't there before the ISP change, so I doubt it's a server issue. I was thinking that the SpeedStream's NAT might cause problems with dropping connections that are idle too long. Is there a way to cause the client or server to send an empty keep-alive packet through the ICA connection every minute or two to try to troubleshoot this?
