Hi Ron,
There is another way ;-)

Inside the packager, when you start the recorder, there's an advanced tab.
One of the options uncovered (bottom left hand from memory - poor), that's
normally ticked, is to only monitor executables started off by the
application setup program. If you untick this, the recorder will see
everything installing on the system. This is just about mandatory with some
16-bit installer components.

Regards,

Rick

I have seen something like this.

It only monitors stuff kicked off by the install process. So lets say the
package (created by who ever) was created so that the first exe installs the
registry components then hits some copy commands for the files. For some
reason some apps don't get caught properly this way. Made no sense to me,
but anyway.

Work around possibilities. In our case we did two different things. One was
to create a silent install using a MSI and transform and that was deployed
through IM in XP

The other was to use the copy files feature of the IM packager, copy the
stuff locally to the box, then we edited the ADF script to execute the setup
and run it silently with an answer file.

Hope this helps.

Hi all

I'm trying to create a package for deploying DREAMWEAVER MX through
Installation Manager. But each time I tried this, the Citrix Packager logs
only the registry keys that are modified, created or deleted. It never logs
the files that are copied on the server's disks !!!!!

Have you already seen something like this ? Do you know how I can create the
package ?

Any help would be appreciated

Regards
