Hi Ron, There is another way ;-) Inside the packager, when you start the recorder, there's an advanced tab. One of the options uncovered (bottom left hand from memory - poor), that's normally ticked, is to only monitor executables started off by the application setup program. If you untick this, the recorder will see everything installing on the system. This is just about mandatory with some 16-bit installer components. It only monitors stuff kicked off by the install process. So lets say the package (created by who ever) was created so that the first exe installs the registry components then hits some copy commands for the files. For some reason some apps don't get caught properly this way. Made no sense to me, but anyway. Work around possibilities. In our case we did two different things. One was to create a silent install using a MSI and transform and that was deployed through IM in XP The other was to use the copy files feature of the IM packager, copy the stuff locally to the box, then we edited the ADF script to execute the setup and run it silently with an answer file. Hope this helps. But each time I tried this, the Citrix Packager logs only the registry keys that are modified, created or deleted. It never logs the files that are copied on the server's disks !!!!! Have you already seen something like this ? Do you know how I can create the package ? Any help would be appreciated Regards -- Christophe MORVAN THALES Syst=3DE8mes A=3DE9roport=3DE9s 2, Avenue Gay Lussac 78851 ELANCOURT Tel:33-01-34-81-47-89 Fax:33-01-34-81-65-49 ******************************************************** This weeks sponsor - Emergent Online 99Point9.com Designed to facilitate efficient resolution of your technical server-based questions, issues and incidents, technical support is a few mouse-clicks away: you submit your incident-specific support requests via our online support helpdesk, our certified engineers resolve them while you monitor the progress, and your systems get back to 99.9% up-time in no time. http://www.99point9.com=20 ********************************************************** Useful Thin Client Computing Links are available at: http://thethin.net/links.cfm For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or=20 set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link: http://thethin.net/citrixlist.cfm ******************************************************** This weeks sponsor - Emergent Online 99Point9.com Designed to facilitate efficient resolution of your technical server-based questions, issues and incidents, technical support is a few mouse-clicks away: you submit your incident-specific support requests via our online support helpdesk, our certified engineers resolve them while you monitor the progress, and your systems get back to 99.9% up-time in no time. http://www.99point9.com ********************************************************** Useful Thin Client Computing Links are available at: http://thethin.net/links.cfm For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link: http://thethin.net/citrixlist.cfm -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The information contained in this e-mail is confidential and may be subject to legal professional privilege.
