[THIN] ICA Session Explained?

This is basic, but I need reassurance on this. When you initiate a connection
to the WI and launch an application you get the information saying go to this
Presentation Server and launch this application. After you launch the
application the WI is no longer involved correct? So even though you know the
IP of the Web Interface, directly connected router to router but not using our
DNS, you still need the IP (DNS or Hosts file) to get to the presentation
server?
