[THIN] Re: Hyper-Threading (again!)

Greg is correct, Win2K see's four logical CPU's where as Server 2003 see's two
CPU's but operates Hyper Threading on those two. Win2K was conceived before
Hyper Threaded so logically does not have the native support (AFAIK) therefore,
show's you the logical view of four (4) CPU's as each HT enabled CPU is
actually two CPU's per chip !

Whether or not I am getting any kind of performance boost from it is a =

Subject: [THIN] Hyper-Threading (again!)

Our DBA is under the impression that Windows 2000 Server does NOT
support
hyper-threading, but Advanced Server does. Is there any validity to
this? The
only thing I see on Microsofts site deals with Windows XP. Any
ideas?
