When you say hardware, are you referring to the terminals?

If so, when I first put them in, here, in 98, the only expectations I
had on replacing them, were when they were no longer capable of
providing the very prescripted environment deployed.

So rather than thinking in X years, I'll replace them, my rationale is
simply in the next X years will I have reason to need to replace them -
and unless something changed WRT the demands, then it's unlikely that I
would need to.

The reality being that I will not need to do anything with them up to
the point when that part of the business, is finally operationally taken
over by their new owners. As to what happens then isn't truly a concern
for me, but will be sometime early next year, meaning that they will
have been in place 8 years.

Were those locations to be continuing as part of my company's business,
I've no current reason to think I'd need to rip them out in the next
couple of years, so seeing 10 years out seems perfectly reasonable, for
at least some scenarios.
