Hi Malcolm, If the data sets that have to be manipulated are big enough, unless your application is totally recoded you're probably stuck wih the large memory requirement. However provided you're in a position to run pure terminal services, ther's nothing stopping you getting an opteron or intel Xeon EM64T processor-based system, sticking in 16 GB of RAM and loading 64-bit Windows. Quite a few Xeon systems already ship with the EM64T chip installed so you might even have one to play with. Your existing 32-bit code should run fine, but now you've got some real memory to play with without the kernel space etc constraints of 32-bit windows. regards, Rick Ulrich Mack Volante Systems ******************************************************** This Weeks Sponsor: ThinPrint GmbH Now available: The new version .print Engine 6.2 with SSL encryption and certificate management. http://www.thinprint.com ********************************************************** Useful Thin Client Computing Links are available at: http://thin.net/links.cfm ThinWiki community - Excellent SBC Search Capabilities! http://www.thinwiki.com *********************************************************** For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link: http://thin.net/citrixlist.cfm
