I found the apparent problem. Due to a need for lots of space for the
profiles we have a utility that moves the users local profiles off the
system drive and onto a secondary drive, and repoints the local profile
there from then on. I accidentally wiped the Default user folder from the
System drive. Once restored logins were possible again.

Well, here's what we're doing...
All users have a Term Server Profile path... I published the desktop,
logged in as a user, then opened IE to get through the wizard, set default
Save To paths in Office, then copied the user's profile and gave everyone
perms to it. Then copied that profile into the Term Srvr Profile path and
set security on it so it couldn't be overwritten.
That's it.
(Dameware is a great tool if you need to change all users' TSP paths at one
time)

My users are all getting an error, The operating system was unable to load
your profile. Please contact your network administrator (2).
I had tried to set up roaming profiles for a few users, and now no one can
get logged in.. What do I need to do?
