You can access Citrix or plain terminal servers with Java clients that will not 
require any installation on the client computer. The only requirement is a JVM. 
So I do not understand what your problem is exactly.

        Hey everyone,

         

        Quick question about GoToMyPC, for any of you who have used it.

         

        A customer of ours is having issues with remote sites launching a 
desktop in Citrix due to the fact that client software must be downloaded and 
installed (No admin privs = No install). GoTomyPC's website seems a bit 
contradictory, when it talks about client software installation. It says it 
deploys a java client that will display the Host desktop, based on the "client" 
OS. You would still need permission to install programs when using the GoToMyPC 
servlet to connect to a remote PC, would you not? It states that a small 
browser plugin is what determines what Viewer to launch.

         

        I can see many reasons why not to use it in the manner they would be, 
however... I want to make sure I've got my facts straight about the product 
before I recommend anything.
