Actually these are Biomedical devices that do not have any type of OS on them.
It has what they call a WinDNA driver, which to me looks like a really chopped
up Citrix PNAgent. It's looking like I'm going with a generic account for each
device specific by room number.
Thanks,
George

Are you just trying to make it easier for them to log into these things without
using their normal accounts? Assuming yes then depending on physical security
you could configure them to use separate accounts and set up an autologon. I
prefer to have separate accounts for more accurate reporting, accountability,
better security, and less hassle with profile stuff. Of course an autologon
would nullify a couple of those reasons. ;)
Good luck,

Subject: [THIN] Generic Accounts
I wanted to see if anyone else is doing something like this and if they've seen
any issues. I have some generic devices, actually bedside monitors, that have
a Citrix client built into them. The way this client is I can either give them
a published desktop or a specific application to run. The nurses want access
to more than one application so I need to give them a desktop.
What I am looking at is using the same username on every device and giving them
a locked down desktop on one Metaframe Xpe server. From there the desktop will
have 3 application published to them via Citrix.
Will I see any issues with all of these devices using the same active directory
account? Or any other issues?
Thanks,
