The URL doesn't work.
The server is TS 6 and MetaFrame 1.8 and all service packs are installed.

PLEASE HELP - Published apps don't start=20
Please refer to the following document. I am not sure if the document is ap=
plicable based on the information you have provided. Is service pack 1 for =
XP installed?

Thank you.

Error: "[published_app_name] failed to start. The Citrix server is unable t=
o process your request to start this published application at this time. Pl=
ease try again later. If the problem persists,=20
contact your administrator." when Connecting to a Published Application=20

This solution pertains to:

MetaFrame 1.8 for Windows 2000=20
MetaFrame XP for Windows 2000=20
MetaFrame XP for Microsoft NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server=20

WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that =
may require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee=
that problems resulting from the incorrect=20
use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

For information about how to edit the registry, view the "Changing Keys and=
Values" Help topic in Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) or the "Add and Delete=
Information in the Registry" and "Edit Registry=20
Data" Help topics in Regedt32.exe. Make sure you back up the registry befor=
e you edit it. If you are running Windows NT, also update your Emergency Re=
pair Disk (ERD).=20

When trying to connect to a published application, the published applicatio=
n will not launch. If you check the active processes in the Task Manager of=
the server, you will see Icast.exe as one of the=20
active processes. Two minutes after launching the published application, th=
e following error message may appear:

"[published_app_name] failed to start. The Citrix server is unable to proce=
ss your request to start this published application at this time. Please tr=
y again later. If the problem persists, contact your=20
administrator."=20

If you try to connect to the desktop (instead of the published application =
), Wfshell.exe is not one of the active processes, so the session could los=
e device mapping settings; for example, clipboard=20
mapping or sound mapping.=20

The problem may be that the registry entry for Cmstart.exe is missing or co=
rrupt. To correct this problem, run Regedt32.exe and go to=20

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

AppSetup:Type =3D REG_SZ:

Data =3D USRLOGON.CMD,CMSTART.EXE

These values are the default values for the AppSetup entry. If Cmstart.exe =
is missing, add it manually and attempt to reconnect to the published appli=
cation.=20

NOTE: Icast.exe (application launcher) waits for Wfshell.exe to complete be=
fore launching the initial program for the published application. If Cmstar=
t.exe is not listed under AppSetup value,=20
Wfshell.exe is not launched and Icast.exe will timeout (after two minutes b=
y default), generating the error message mentioned above.=20

MetaFrame 1.8 SP3
=20
A published application that has been working for awhile is now not working.
=20
Users that are not administrators get this error when trying to logon to th=
e published application.
=20
An error (193) occurred while creating user logon Failing component: icast=

=20
I have looked thru the news group and have not found anything specific to t=

Has anyone come across this before or do you have any suggestions why this =

=20
Any input would be appreciated.
