[THIN] Re: Folder Redirection, Roaming Profiles, NAS

I worked with basically the same scenario a few years back but on Snap servers,
which is what Dells are, and had similar issues. We contact Snap and they said
there was a problem with the OS on them and a large number of connections to
it. We moved the shares to another, non-nas, server and the problems
disappeared. You might try moving some of them shares and see if you have the
same problems.

sorry. 750 users. The NAS is used TS Roaming Profiles, My Document
Redirection, and we also put our department shares on this server.

You never posted the amount of users. Kind of important.

Try not redirecting application data and see if performance improves.

Question: Is there a certain rule as to the number of concurrent
connections you should have on file server / NAS? Reason I ask is that I have
everything pushed to a Dell 770N NAS and seem to be having performance issues.
We have My Documents, Roaming Profiles, Public Folders, etc... pushed to the
NAS. Any info would be great.

      Thanks!
