If you have unique hostnames for the PC's this isn't too bad. Our problem arose because the ICA client installation inserts the hostname of the machine into C:\WFCNAME.INI. If you image a PC and distribute it to the enterprise, all PC's look alike. You can delete the file C:\wfcname.ini from the clients and they will assume the hostname of the client upon the next connection. Good practice is to delete WFCNAME.INI before taking the image. We created a batch file that deletes v:\wfcname.ini and put it into All Users Startup folder on the Citrix server. (We tried putting it into the application compatibility scripts\Logon folder but evidently the client drive isn't mounted yet when these run. Because of a large PC rollout, it appears that the Citrix client name is the same on alot of PCs. Because these machines are spread out among several dozen facilities, and because we are having several printing issues associated with duplicate client names, I was wondering if anyone knew of a way you could prevent people with a duplicate client name from logging into a server. That way people who do not have access will be forced to call the helpdesk forcing them to change their client name.
