[THIN] Drive window opening on start up

NT 4.0 SP6 TSE MF 1.8 SP3 no FR1 or 2

Starting with yesterday, all of our users who login (full desktop) are
getting an explorer window displaying  "E:\" drive. Of course they get
nothing in it because they are not allowed to see the contents (policy, reg
hacks, etc). I have looked through *.ini files several parts of the
registry, etc (maybe nor good enough) and can not find anything. User can
close the window and go on with life. But, the next time they login, it
reappears upon logon.

any ideas?
