Another approach is to talk to the person who is logging into console for
one, and logging off for two.  If the continue their pattern, deny that
admin access to the server.  If they complain they can't do their job, then
have a talk with their manager. Trust me, this is very effective.

Still need RDP access to the server, just not to session 0.

How about disabling the remote desktop services?

I have tried setting fEnableWinstation to 0 within
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal
Server\WinStations\Console (which seemed the obvious place to me) but no
affect.



We have a console based service running and want to prevent people
connecting to the console and logging off which in turn stops the service
running.
