[THIN] Difference between Session Name and Session ID

Hi All,

 

Can somebody tell me what the difference between the Session Name and
Session ID are?  I always throught that the Session ID was just the trimmed
off number from Session Name but it looks like I am wrong.  I have an
application in 2 different non trusted environments that talk to each other
through the session name variable where we are just taking the number.
Doesn't seem to be working for us in MPS 3.0 because the Session name
doesn't always match the session ID.  Are these supposed to match and if not
is there any variable that may be hidden for session ID?
