[THIN] Re: Dialog boxes not being created

Are you using redirection anywhere? If so, are the framework versions and the
gac between the client and servers sync'd? Just thinking that for some reason
(especially on an in house app) that redirection could be getting confused if
there is a control located in both places - even if its not directly associated
with the app but rather something with the framework itself..might be worth 5
min just to check...

I can see, but the strange thing is that Its the same on all our servers and
this problem Only occurs for 2 or 3 users.  And even then it seems to
spontaneously start and then never fix until they get a different PC which
leads me to believe its something on the client machine.
I could try it on one server and direct the user to that machine and test.

Hmm you could try changing it to 1.  But that is mostly a key for system
messages but some apps use it.
This can also be set in the control panel under error control

I have this issue occasionally, and I have never found a good resolution.
With some users, their apps stop creating pop-up dialog boxes.  If they
disconnect, and reconnect to the session, the dialog box is there and they can
proceed normally.
The box is not being created behind the app, I have verified that. Also when
this does occur the users generally have the latest client.
As a fix I have tried updating the video drivers, updating the client.  Clean
RE-installs of the client, and Clean re-installs of Previous versions of the
client.
The only fix we have ever found is to Re-install windows on the cient machine.

The applications this happens in are an in-house accounting app, and ADP
Timesaver.  I have seen it in one or two other apps as well but not as often.
I am at a complete loss for what to try next.  The only consistent thing I
have noted is the users seem to all have Intel based graphics cards.
