What type of domain are they Win2k? or NT 4.0?

Win2k, TS license service must be installed to a win2k DC. No way around
it.=20

NT 4.0, TS license service must be installed to any available win2k
server. Can be the TS servers, or any other win2k server that's within
the same domain.=20

Subject: [THIN] Confused about TS License server

I know someone who works at a facility where they are running 2000
Terminal=20
Server with Metaframe 1.8 on top. They have (3) of these boxes and none
is a TS=20
licensing server. There is no license server defined. How are they able
to=20
still connect? I thought that you had 90 days and that was it. They've
been=20
running that way for 6 months.
