(1 Citrix Server, Windows 2000 SP2,Metaframe XPs FR2)

This morning the Citrix server is regularly locking up. Users that are =
currently in Citrix the applications running freeze, but they can start =
new applications from the start menu which then freeze themselvies after =
a few minutes. =20

Anyone trying to log in, either via the Console, RDP, or ICA, it allows =
the userid and password to be entered but then hangs with just the =
desktop background showing. The only thing that I can do then is reboot =
the server.

Once the server is in this state, I have managed to launch Task Manager, =
and the CPU usage is around 90% to 95% idle and memory usage is low.

The only thing that appears in the event log prior the server getting in =
this state is the informational application log message:

Source: Winlogon
Event ID: 1002
Description: The shell stopped unexpectedly and Explorer.exe was =
restarted.

The server has now done this 4 times in the last 2 hours.

Any ideas as to why this is happening, or any pointers to=20

I would be very grateful for any help on this!

Thanks,
Steve Rance
