Not quite sure what you mean by SecurID is two-factor all by itself. There
are three basic factors in authentication. Something you know (Passwords),
something you have (SecurID, SmartCard), and something you are (biometric).
SecurID is a one method (factor) of authentication (Something you have).
Citrix calls SecurID "two-factor" authentication it is combined with another
type of authentication (Something you know, Username/Pswd). Some SmartCard
implementations can be considering two-factor because they require a
personal key-code to be entered with the access card.
I'm not completely up to date on what AG supports natively for LDAP w/
SecurID authentication, but using AG in CSG mode you could configure WI for
two-factor authentication.

There is a non-Java version of the Kiosk client available on the AG but it
is not linked from the main portal page like it was in previous versions. It
is basically a VNC client that gets downloaded to a temp location on the
client and executed. Find it at https://<AGFQDN>/CitrixSAKiosk.exe.
I haven't played with the SecurID but doesn't the SecurID authentication
mean that you only authenticate using your passcode and is not combined with
your AD credentials? I think combining AD credentials with SecurID
authentication is planned for AG 4.2 and is what Citrix calls "two-factor"
authentication as opposed to the single authentication of SecurID (even
though SecurID is two-factor all by itself).

we have a bank in vienna that needs a citrix environment as secure as
possible...
from what I read there's some kiosk mode with no client installation.
when I hear no clien installation....I wake up....sure there's some plugin
needed isn't there?
the applicance gives you the option....the publish apps to normal citrix
client outside and/or run in kiosk mode or users have " no" clients.?????
how about intergration with secure ID? do you have any experience with that?
thanks for your time...
I'm going to Vienna on monday for a meeting with the customer.....

I have 2 gateways running in my production environment. I can try and
answer any questions. I find them to be extremely basic and no frills, easy
to management, just do what they are advertised to.

Subject: [THIN] Citrix access Gateway
Hi,
I'm looking for more than one PDF about the new Citrix appliance, the access
gateway.
Can anyone help me with some hands on experience? Or a demo site..
For some prjects (although I'm not in the Citrix bussiness, I get the
questions) I would like to use something like this appliance.
But with only one pdf to read it's hard to advice someone what to do.
Thanks for any help
Greetings
Rob
