CAG is the best solution for secure access to Citrix resources inside a company and a strong contender for the best SSL VPN solution as well. In terms of access to a Citrix environment, it is a hardened LINUX appliance with redundant hardware options that removes the needs for Windows in the DMZ, adds greater performance and is tightly integrated into the rest of their products. From a single remote URL, users can gain a session with full security very easily. It can check the end computer and validate for anything you require such as OS, patch levels, virus scanner, virus definition versions, etc. In short, it is high security, easy to install and maintain- it Rocks ! I have one last question about this..... do you guys think the CAG is the best solution if you want to provide real secure access to a citrix environment for a large bank? Can someone draw me a sketch about how this fits in, compared to the "old" secure gateway solution....??? I've stopped gaining knowledge there.... I really would hope Cirix would do more about demo sites.....it's annoying...I feel like I'm asking stupid questions.... thanks again guys for all the effort.... It is basically a VNC client that gets downloaded to a temp location on the client and executed. Find it at https://<AGFQDN>/CitrixSAKiosk.exe. I haven't played with the SecurID but doesn't the SecurID authentication mean that you only authenticate using your passcode and is not combined with your AD credentials? I think combining AD credentials with SecurID authentication is planned for AG 4.2 and is what Citrix calls "two-factor" authentication as opposed to the single authentication of SecurID (even though SecurID is two-factor all by itself). _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Steve Greenberg Sent: Tuesday, August 16, 2005 4:19 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Citrix access Gateway "no client" assumes java is available!
