[THIN] Re: Cannot empty clipboard

Brian,

You should be able to tell if the app compat script has been run by looking
in the file c:\winnt\system32\usrlogn2.cmd. There should be a line that
starts the office 97 script. The script itself will be in
c:\winnt\application compatibility scripts\logon. I don't think the script
will be there if no one has run the setup script.

Does the "cannot empty clipboard" problem occur for admins as well as users?

Subject: [THIN] Cannot empty clipboard

I have a server that I may inherit some of the users get this error in
Excel 97 "Cannot empty clipboard". They also get the normal.dot []. I am
trying to figure out these messages. I don't think the application
compatibility script was run on this server. Is there anyway to tell if
it has been run? Or what the excel error means?

Thanks
Brian
