[THIN] Re: CSRSS.exe using 25% cpu

Have you applied PSE400W2K3R03?

There is a related fix to csrss.exe in this Hotfix rollup pack.

Had the same issue. I'm using PS4, so I enabled session throttling. It
helps a lot. However, the only thing I've found to fix it is a reboot.
I'd be curious to know if anyone else has managed to fix this.

I have confirmed it is not a virus (I think)?

I have seen the MS article that says corrupt profile.

Problem is that I can't identify which person(s) have the corrupt
profile.

By the time I see it there are only two processes running

Winlogon and csrss.exe.

I look at the session id of the process and it always seems that the
person is logged off so I can 't identify which user it is.

Session id numbers are given out non-sequencially from what I can see.

I am going thru the event log (security) and I end up with a very long
list of " possible" people who logged on in between.

Anyways is there anyway to identify who got what session id number?
And is there a way to kill the processes. When I try the os says this
is a crtical system process and won't let me.

I may have to turn on User envir onment debug but was wanting to avoid
the overhead. Is this the only option to identify the user?
