Some time ago, I asked a similar question (it included whether or not you could/should combine Nfuse and RSA servers in the equation) and got a helpful response from Rick Dehlinger at Citrix. In the interests of sharing the wealth, here's what he had to say at the time: ---- The STA(s) can run comfortably on any box that you are OK running IIS5 on. This includes MetaFrame servers and/or ACE servers. The NFuse and CSG servers 'could' run on the same box, but are a potential security hole (compromise one and you compromise both resources). If you wanted to do this, dual home (or dual IP) the NFuse/CSG servers and set IIS and CSG up to use different IP's. That way you can use 443 end to end, and have 2 services that use 443 on the same machine... A perfect deployment would have 2 load balanced IIS5 NFuse servers, 2 load balanced CSG boxes, and multiple internal STA's and ACE servers... ---- Craig -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of KEVIN BROWN Sent: Wednesday, November 27, 2002 8:09 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] CSG and STA's Hello All, Is it necessary to run the STA on a separate server on can it be installed = on a server in your Citrix Farm.
