So I have CPS 4.5 installed on two servers and made them the FMS's.
However, I can't run applications on them. I called Citrix support for
licensing and they told me that the license server has to have the full CPS
4.5 installation installed on the license server, not just the license
service. I sure don't remember seeing this anywhere in the documentation.
Is this a new requirement?

Thanks for the response Joe -
I didn't know if the farm would panic if I changed the farm metric server
from a CPS 4.0 server to a CPS 4.5 server. After reading the CPS Admin
guide, I think I'll be ok. Otherwise, I would upgrade an existing W2K
Server (with CPS 4.0) to W2K3, then to CPS 4.5 and make that the FMS.
Got about 40 servers to upgrade in the next few weeks. Wish me luck!!!!
:)

Can I safely make it the new farm metric server? The existing
