I read a number of newsgroup posts from people having this issue who would uninstall/reinstall the CMC with no success at resolving the issue that I thought it was pointless. But, I tried it anyway this morning and I'm back in the business with the CMC! Thanks to anyone who tried to help me out on this issue! Either use an earlier version of the CMC (not really recommended), or have a look at the config files for your app. It's very likely that the only problem is that its checking for the existence of 1.3 to make sure java is at least at that level. An example is the EMC backup manager, wants 1.3, but if you massage the config file, it'll run fine with 1.4, and so will the CMC. Java version 1.4 got installed on the new servers before implementation. We have a web-based app that is very picky about it's Java version. It needs 1.3 to work, so I had to uninstall 1.4 and install 1.3 on both servers to get the app to work. Now, when I try to open the CMC I get this error: The Management Console for MetaFrame XP could not be started because there was an error in creating the process. Would you like details? I click YES to see the details and get this: Error code 1813 (0x715) occurred while attempting to execute " with working directory 'C:\Progra~1\citrix\admini~1' My CMC will NOT open. I can't seem to find anything helpful on the Citrix KB or Google about this. Only people having problems with mapped drive letters, which I don't use. I'm 95% sure the java version change caused the problem. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it??
