Jim Kenzig http://www.thinhelp.com Here is the formal job description/requirements for the SE positionâ Position Summary: The SE position is critical in serving Citrix Systemsâ penetration into the market as well as demonstrating Citrix Systemsâ commitment to meeting customer needs. They will act as a single point of technical contact in the field for customers and consequently provide continuity in the customer experience. They will work with the account representatives from Citrix to coordinate all interactions between technical teams at Citrix and either the Field Sales Manager or the Sales Manager for those accounts. The goal of the SE is to accelerate product adoption and standardization in an account and coordinate faster issue resolution with support teams. In addition they will help determine the level of involvement needed in the account and be able to hand over the account to a TRM when appropriate. Essential Functions: â Provide pre-sales technical and architectural support for customers. â Build and foster customer relationships that lead to corporate standardization of Citrix products. â The successful SE will coordinate account growth and work with sales to determine need for a TRM. â Serve as the primary technical advocate for the customer and technical point person for internal Citrix sales team leading to increased account visibility and faster time to resolution. â Deliver articulate and effective presentations to audiences of all sizes and all levels. Essential Knowledge: Fundamental level understanding of all products in the Citrix Access Suite. Understanding of the complete sales and project life cycle, requires an advanced understanding of Citrix product architecture, Windows, Unix, TCP\IP, IP routing, Internet technologies, web serving, portal concepts, network security infrastructure, authentication concepts, directory services, and be eager to expand their product and technology knowledge base. Essential Education: BS degree preferred, not required. 4+ years industry experience needed. Essential Skills: The candidate must have mastery of coordinating efforts and communicating between teams and to the customer. The candidate must have experience presenting technical information to all levels of an organization, researching and answering questions. The candidate must also have a skill set that balances technical and business requirements. Must be a âself-starterâ and demonstrate strong time management skills. Organizational "Fit" Considerations: Will be a member of a team comprised of engineers, sales professionals and consultants. The SE will engage with support staff, Sales and consultants.
