You can point the lun to another like server and boot off it it. You can
clone the servers. Take snapshots of the server. Depending on you SAN
configuration, it's fast. If you have blades then you don't have to worry
about drive failures due to excessive heat. If your working on a blade
server that doesn't have hot swap drives you can hot swap the HDs.
