I've started looking into diskless images that I can use for my client
machines, but I'm having problems with the dhcp server providing the settings..
has anyone used bootp/dhcp to send image file name and servers to the client?
My Novell dhcp server doesn't send either of the settings, and the 2003 server
we have only provides the file name, not the server (even when set to!). I
don't have any 2000 servers to test with, unfortunately and the only NT4 server
I have is a rather lowly P75!
As I understand it, you should need options 66 (boot server host name) and 67
(bootfile name) setup, along with the usual DNS and gateway settings. Am I
missing something else?
