App Streaming (Application Hub as it's called now) is ok. I've been only
getting a 50% success rate with it compare to 90-95% with softgrid.

App Streaming is great, I was also privy to a future road map on it, and
whats coming is awesome..
Also, if you have many apps like us and don't want to have re-package them -
have a look at this. Macromedia Admin Studio Enterprise version, supports
creation of the citrix streaming profile for new or existing msi's. (It
starts talking about it about 7mins in the webinar)

You're covered for streaming licenses if you have 4.0 enterprise and sub
advantage, but you do need to re-issue your licenses as well as upgrade your
license server to 4.5. The 4.5 license server will still dish out licenses
to 4.0 servers.
I also made the mistake of downloading / installing the Platinum version of
4.5. Even with downgrading the server revision to Enterprise via the access
console, we had streaming license errors. So I had to install the 4.5 Ent
version specifically then follow the steps in CTX112618 before I had it
working right.
I'm somewhat concerned about the newer web interface that's requried as well
(4.6) I'd presume it's likely supported with the current Advanced Access
Control (4.5), but I haven't seen any updates for that yet. Will be testing
soon...

How did licensing work for you?
Licensing is supposed to be included in PS 4.0, however, we installed a
Streaming server, and it did not find any licenses. I had thought maybe
I needed to re-issue my existing licenses.

Finally got around to getting a test revision of 4.5 setup with App
streaming a "toolbar" application which never worked right for us as a
traditional published application, and it works like a champ via the
streaming model.
Gotta say I'm very impressed with what I've seen of the streaming setup
so
far, it even has options to support all the hacks I need to do to our
apps
before they launch ;). Considering it's a relatively new solution,
citrix
certainly seems to have done their homework on app needs with the
setup.
But I suppose I'm just a bit leary of products that aren't even a year
old
yet (thanks largely to microsoft I'm sure :) ).
Any major gotchas I should be concerned about with Streaming in
general
before I start looking into rolling out upgrades to our solution set to
be
able to support Streaming Apps for our production model?
The streaming tests I've been doing have been based on a clean 4.5
server
build with hotfix rollup 1 applied (following the steps lined out in
CTX112618).
Thanks in advanced,
Lan
