Yeh I known...I was just taking the p1ss :) From my knowledge, most Agencies around town either use a Cisco or Checkpoint firewall as their Internet facing firewall.. I haven't tested the Checkpoint Client, but I can tell you that the Cisco VPN Client works well. Whilst a user can launch it in their session, the VPN connection is server based. As it's an IPSEC solution, it changes the routing table. There are tricks to get it working on Windows 2003, but it does work really well. So as long at the "Agency" can accept the fact that once a session is up, all users on the Citrix server will have access to their network, then this will work fine. In our case, every user must authenticate via the Aventail client, as they are all given different levels of access, hence the reason why it must be session based. I think that the CAG with the AAC and PS Farm can provide companies with so much flexibility, that when it comes time to exchanging information or getting access to each others applications, it's just so simple to implement and control at both ends, that you just don't run into these problems. Cheers. Today, infact I was talking to a partner agency who was looking at delivering one of their apps via a VPN. Thank fully I was able to convince him that it would cause us some problems (like your client) and he now is looking at an alternative solution. Let us know how you go with the Virtuosso testing. I am sure your client will not be the only ones who have to deal with this problem. Don't really know of the concurrency. They told me 150, but I'm not convinced that this will be concurrent. Even if you had 2 VMware hosts running about 16 or so Windows XP images, it still becomes a combersome solution. The info that Steve and Joe provided with Virtuosso is a path that is going to be tested. Otherwise the solution will need to be re-achitected. The problem is that the destination does not trust everyone using the Citrix server, so a site to site VPN is out of the question. I think it's quite a unique situation. Politics! Nice to see your're thinking outsside the box. No wonder why you guys don't come to us for help :) Cheers. This way the Aventail's driver will be installed on the VM instance and not on the CTX server. YOu then would need to use the VMRCC to interact with the VM install and the client could be published on various servers with the workstation/s hosted on multiple machines. I do not think you will be able to RDP to the VM workstation as it may chomp all links except the VPN ( accidently found this out when testing AAC from home...) A little outside the box..... Just reading up on it now. The app we are having trouble with is the Aventail client. So there is a need for users to connect to an external company via Aventail's SSL VPN solution. Once we are over this hurdle, I wonder if Virtuozzo will also be clever enough to handle the SSL VPN connections by session and not server??? Thanks for pointing me in the right direction :) Cheers. Since the app needs to be offered in a multi-use environment we are testing virtuzzo to deliver it. The developers from SWSoft have done a custom build which allows the app to use a virtual RDP console session. So far, it is still rough but shows promise....
