Maybe you need to specify the files like this:

subinacl.exe /verbose=1 /subdirectories "D:\departments\Medical
Staff\Credentaling\linda\linda\*.*" /setowner=cofile02\administrators

Or, is Credentaling spelt right ? Credentialing ?

Win2k Server.

Need the right syntax for the subdirectories command.

The folder is called sort which is under the path d:\departments\medical
Staff\Credentaling\linda\linda. I cant cacls.exe it, or Xcacls.exe it, or
use setowner.exe from www.ntsecurity.nu.

I figured the subinacl.exe command to reset all the ownership on the
subfolders of linda is,

subinacl.exe /verbose=1 /subdirectories "D:\departments\Medical
Staff\Credentaling\linda\linda" /setowner=cofile02\administrators

Something I am missing here folks?

To the list,=20

Somehow I got a problem in which I have tried to take ownership of a =
folder
for which I have full control and still get an access denied. Is there a
utility in which I can reset the ownership on this folder to =
Administrators?
Without having to use the GUI which has proved to not work in this case? =
