[THIN] Re: Anonymous IE with Proxy?

There is a local GPO for the server. Every Windows 2000 and XP machine
has a Local GPO, which you can customize. Also, the ADM files for IE6
should include this as well.

Kyle,

I think that it is in one of the IE adms, but I don't remember which one
(have way too many so I just use my own little ones). Copy and paste
the following into a new text file and save it with the adm
extension:

;***********************************************************
                POLICY "Proxy Settings"
                        KEYNAME
"Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings"
                        PART "Use Proxy Server" CHECKBOX
                        VALUEON NUMERIC 1
                        VALUEOFF NUMERIC 0
                        VALUENAME "ProxyEnable"
                        END PART
                        PART "Define Proxy Servers (e.g.
http=http://192.168.1.1:80)"
                        EDITTEXT
                        VALUENAME "ProxyServer"
                        END PART
PART "Do not use proxy server for addresses
beginning with:"
                        EDITTEXT
                        VALUENAME "ProxyOveride"
                        END PART
PART "Use semicolons (;) to seperate
entries." TEXT END PART
                        PART "Automatically detect settings" CHECKBOX
                        VALUEON "wininet.dll"
                        VALUEOFF ""
                        VALUENAME "AutoConfigProxy"
                        END PART
                        PART "Use automatic configuration script"
                        EDITTEXT
                        VALUENAME "AutoConfigURL"
                        END PART
                END POLICY
        END CATEGORY
;***********************************************************

That should do it for you.
