Where ever you have installed Adobe too...
Backup the plug_ins directory and rename it to say plug_ins_old or
something. Delete all files form the plug_ins directory except
EWH32.api, printme.api and Search.api file. Of course you will loose
some plugin functionality. Also there is an option to disable splash
screen within preferences. Can't remember what the reg key is to set it
but I think it is something like HKCU\Software\Adobe\Acrobat
Reader\6.0\.... Use Regmon to work out. It should now start up in
about 1/4 of the time...

Subject: [THIN] Acrobat 6.0 & MF XPe
I've got a windows 2000 machine with MF XPe and Acrobat 6.0. It takes a
considerable amount of time for acrobat to load any pdf's, also, after
it
loads 2-3 of them, it quits loading them all together. Are there any
reg
hacks or similar that can resolve this issue? Thanks.
Warren
