The important difference with the existing versions is between 4.0 and 4.1.
There were significant changes to the managment tool and in certain fields
values as well. I believe 4.2 is the newere platform to support the
Enterprise Version/Advanced Access control. If you already have a gateway
box in hand, the basic differentiator you care about is 4.0 versus 4.1

You tempter - what ways to hack this?

Can only find admin guides for 4.0, 4.1 (and 4.9) but not for 4.2. Looking
to get an eval box soon and from what's been said here, I really need the
correct manual .....

So anyone got a 4.2 Admin Guide?

Regards,

Alan.

I think the ICA client on LINUX has a security hole and it was a business
descision to shut it down rather than have some exposure, or perceived
exposure, in the marekt. It is a security appliance after all and I think
they are staying focused on that. BTW, there are ways to hack all this so if
it is important enough it can be done..............

missing the point here?

Kiosk mode is being diminished and hidden in the newer point releases. The
basic issue is that it is not scalable because it hosts the session on the
appliance which takes considerably more resources than acting as a CSG
device or SSP VPN. It is really only intended for admin use and even then
you really do much better passing through to a PS box to get your work done!

Citrix is doing things that kill it slowly like removing the ICA client from
the options so it is becoming less and less useful!
