[THIN] Re: Access 97 on Presentation server 4.5 with Office 2007

Hi Graeme

Citrix Streaming server sounds like an option, this will depend on the
licensing you have though. Access would be packaged and delivered to
the Citrix server "in an isolated fashion" and in effect isn't actually
installed on the Citrix server. Similar to Softgrid.

You'd still publish Access as a published app to the end users and they
wouldn't know any difference.

The other option is to see if you need to install Access or get it
working with the runtime version.

Cheers

Subject: [THIN] Access 97 on Presentation server 4.5 with Office 2007

Hi list,

We currently have presentation server 4.5 set up with published apps,
and some users using a published desktop.

Installed is Office Standard 2007 (no Access).

We have a requirement for 5 users or so to run a database appplication
that works in Access 97,

Does anyone have any advise as to how best to go about this.

We would like to publish the application to the users requiring it, and
also to ensure that Access 97 does not show up on the published desktop,
the last part is pretty easy.

Installing access 97 on a client PC with Office 2007 is a bit
problematic, so was wondering if any one has done it under Citrix or can
point me in the right direction.

Thanks
