[THIN] Re: AAC console does not show AG server

I had a problem with OWA through AAC through the AG and it ended up being that
I had to be able to resolve the External
FQDN entered in the General Networking tab of the Access Gateway Cluster tab of
the AG Admin Tool.

Have you tried running Outlook Web Access through the AG? I wasn't able to get
it to work. I think it might be because I
have forms based authentication turned on.

Yes all the tabs are grayed out on the AG except for "Access Gateway Cluster".

I'm still very new to it too - so I'm not sure - our AG just shows as an IP
address and there are no properties to be
configured but you can set STA addresses on the properties of the Gateway
Appliances. Are most of your tabs 'greyed out
on the CAG' ?

The AG and the AAC are talking to each other and no ports are blocked between
them. I can make a change on the AAC to a
users settings and the user logs into the AG they get the new settings so
things appear to be working. There is no
firewall between the AG and AAC so ports should not come into play.

I just think it is odd that the AAC MMC doesn't show an AG under the Access
Gateway node. Having not used the AG/AAC
before I wonder what I maybe missing if anything.

Number of appliances should show as the IP address of the CAG - I'm sort of
guessing that you don't have two-way
communication between these two devices. You should NOT be able to see any AAC
pages on the CAG. As per an earlier
e-mail (different thread) when set up, the AAC "sucks" all the pages from the
CAG. When the two are communicating
correctly the only page you see on the CAG is the main setup page (Access
Gateway Cluster) - all other tabs are greyed
out on the CAG. I seem to remember having to open ports 9001, 9002, 9003, 9004,
and 9005 - for the two to communicate
properly. We haven't yet tried the Secure Server Communication checkbox on the
CAG etc.

Regards,

Alan.

Not that I am aware of. I just checked the Citrix site and none are listed
under AG 4.2 and AAC 4.2. Do you know of one?

Hi,

Is a hotfix not needed for the ASC ?

Subject: [THIN] AAC console does not show AG server

I have my eval AG pointed to my AAC server and they seem to work although I am
having some issues (most likely me doing
something wrong). However I noticed in the AAC management console shows a node
called "Gateway Appliances" and under
that node it shows "# of appliances 0". Is this normal? I have run discovery
many times and it never finds the AG. It
however does seem to work in that I can log into the AG and receive AAC
webpages.

I read on a Citrix forum that you can check in the SQL server under
"AccessGateway" table you should see an entry for
the AG which in my case does not appear. The AccessGateway table is blank for
me. Should I be concerned about this?

I can ping the AG from the AAC server and there is no firewall between them. I
am only using a single NIC on the AG (NIC
0). Any help would be great as I am running out of eval time.
