I initially heard some bad things about running XP on NT4 servers, then
upgrading. Has anyone had any problems? How seamless was the upgrade from
NT4.0/MFXP to win2000/MFXP?
Thanks -

Hi Anthony,
Upgrade your existing 1.8 farm to XP first. It's be worth your while to come
up wih a strategy for handling separate profiles for the 2 O.S.s. Then you
can mix and match. NT 4.0 to 2003 is relatively painless, as long as you
don't want to migrate SQL and Exchange as well ;-).

I am on NT4 TSE and MF 1.8 for reasons beyond my control (political). I am
putting a plan together to upgrade to MFXP. I would like to be able to
upgrade the NT 4.0 servers to 2003 with MF 1.8, and then do an MFXP
migration. I have over 100 servers to upgrade (myself) - so I have to do
this in stages that will not interrupt the business and will be seamless to
the users.
