Hi, all!
Sorry this is a day late, but Griffin, Diane, and I were miraculously able
to refind the reported Vega Gull at the Brownsville Dump, and had nice looks
at Chihuahuan Raven to boot! A run over to South Padre Island got him his
one and only Sandwich Tern amongst the mob of Royals. Common Loon was a
highlight for me, and two Sedge Wrens were calling behind the Convention
Centre. A quick visit to Sabal Palm Grove wasn't terribly birdy as the wind
had picked up considerably, but at least three Tropical Parulas HAD been
seen that day (one of them 40 minutes before we got there)! A few pictures
