[texbirds] Tuesday morning birding, Hagerman NWR.

On a calm but very warm morning we found 67 species. We saw a Wood Duck and at 
least 2 Red-headed Woodpeckers at Dead Woman Pond. We saw another group of four 
Wood Ducks at Martin Branch.  As for shorebirds, we saw 1 American Avocet, 1 
Black-bellied Plover, 5 Semipalmated Plovers, 26 Killdeer, 125 Least 
Sandpipers, 3 Semipalmated Sandpipers, 8 Western Sandpipers, 5 Spotted 
Sandpipers, 1 Greater Yellowlegs and 1 Stilt Sandpiper. We got closeup looks at 
a couple of Summer Tanagers eating Roughleaf Dogwood berries. We also watched a 
Yellow-billed Cuckoo sitting in a tree watching us. We saw a couple of 
Loggerhead Shrikes near Short Rd. and Brooks Ln. We saw 1 Tricolored Heron in 
Muleshoe Marsh.
