[texbirds] Tuesday morning birding, Hagerman NWR

We completed the day with 71 species.  We had a FOS Scissor-tailed Flycatcher 
and as I was leaving the refuge I saw a Yellow-headed Blackbird sitting in the 
Brush pile habitat just north of the refuge headquarters. A bit unusual was a 
flock of nine FOS Little-blue Herons that came in together and landed in some 
trees at Dead Woman Pond. 
American Golden Plovers were present in good numbers and Pectoral Sandpipers 
are beginning to arrive.  One place that has been good for shorebirds is at the 
west end of Egret pad looking north. White-eyed Vireos were singing several 
places.
