There were plenty of active young birds in the park this morning.
Long-billed Thrashers, Couch's Kingbirds, Kiskadees, White-eyed Vireos,
Cardinals and Olive Sparrows are some of the recently fledged species
you're likely to find here. Others, like the Least Bittern, are still
nesting (at last view the eggs had not hatched). This morning I had a 6 AM
start, thus the Pauraque and Screech Owls on the list below. The morning
stayed overcast and was quite pleasant for birding up until around 11 AM.

Saturday morning should be partly cloudy and great birding weather. Hope
you'll come join us on the Bird Walk.

Also, a reminder that now June has arrived the Visitor Center is open and
the Nature Tram operating Thursday through Sunday.
