At the right hand side of the road wet spot off 2004 on CR 227 a single Hudsonian Godwit remains but the black-tailed godwit has not been seen all morning. Also present is a male Cinnamon Teal. Checked the Brazoria WLR for early wood storks (none) but a fair number of Fulvous Whistling Ducks, avocets, spoonbills and white ibis were a lovely site. A trio of Magnificant Frigatebirds soared overhead, a sight you would think occurs only offshore. A bold bobwhite quail stayed in the middle of the auto tour road for several minutes.
