TexBirders, Thanks to Martin for posting earlier. I would upgrade the godwit to an excellent candidate was we have been able to get photographs showing an all-white underwing. We have also seen a stouter, straighter bill, bolder wing stripe extending into the secondaries, tilted feeding posture (not sure how much of a mark that really is), and larger size versus Hudsonian Godwits in the same pond. Have to get back to work, but again the pond is on CR227 just south of FM2004. Look for a flooded field on the west side of CR227 about half a mile south of FM2004. This is the same pond where the Red-necked Phalarope was last seen. Good Birding, Ron Weeks Lake Jackson
