-Rarities found this week-
A CASSIN'S KINGBIRD was an outstanding find at Devine Lake Park,
*Williamson*, 10/8. The bird was photographed.
A kettle of fifty WOOD STORKS and one ROSEATE SPOONBILL was remarkable over
eastern *Williamson* County, 10/5.
An immature RED-HEADED WOODPECKER was well described from a private
residence in *Gonzalez *County, 10/3.
ZONE-TAILED HAWKS were described from Barkley Meadows, *Travis*, 10/3 and
Roy Guerrero Park, *Travis*, 10/8.
A TUFTED TITMOUSE was photographed in eastern *Williamson* County, 10/4.
Two PURPLE MARTINS were late at a private residence in west *Travis C*ounty,
10/3.
-Continuing birds from previous weeks-
An ALLEN'S HUMMINGBIRD continued at a private residence in western *Travis
County,* 10/7. The bird has been well photographed.
A RINGED KINGFISHER continued at Inks Lake Fish Hatchery, *Burnet*, 10/7.
A HUTTON'S VIREO continued at Warbler Woods, *Guadalupe*, 10/4.
A VEERY continued at Warbler Woods, *Guadalupe*, most recently 10/3.
A RED-HEADED WOODPECKER continued near Harmon Rd at Bastrop State Park,
*Bastrop*, 10/7.
A GREAT KISKADEE continues at Berry Springs Park in Georgetown,
*Williamson,* most recently 10/4.
Reports for the Austin area RBA cover a 60 mile radius, centered on the
Capitol in downtown Austin. Bird sightings mentioned here have been
filtered and scrutinized by the compiler and are believed to be genuine.
