This is the Austin Area Rare Bird Alert. This update is as of 9/18/2015.
Send interesting sightings, complete with species name, location, and

-Rarities found this week-

A BLUE-WINGED WARBLER was photographed on private property in western
*Travis* County, 9/17.

A PRAIRIE WARBLER was photographed at Richard Moya Park in Austin, *Travis*,
9/12.

A MACGILLIVRAY'S WARBLER was photographed on private property in
*Gonzales* County,
9/11.

A SAY'S PHOEBE was photographed at Commons Ford, *Travis*, 9/12.

A SWAINSON'S THRUSH was well described from Seiders Springs Park in Austin,
*Travis*, 9/10.

AN AMERICAN BITTERN was well described from Roy Guerrero Park in Austin,
*Travis*, 9/14.

A BULLOCK'S ORIOLE was well described at Berry Springs Park in Georgetown,
*Williamson*, 9/16.

CEDAR WAXWINGS were well described from Commons Ford, *Travis*, 9/14
and St. Edwards Park in Austin, *Travis*, 9/14.

A GREAT KISKADEE was described from private property in *Caldwell* County,
9/15.

-Continuing birds from previous weeks-

At least one BLACK PHOEBE was described and is presumed to be continuing at
Barkley Meadows, *Travis*, 9/13.

A WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCH continued at Max Starke Park in Sequin,
*Guadalupe*, 9/12.

A BUFFLEHEAD continued at Devine Lake, *Williamson*, 9/15.

A GREAT KISKADEE continues at Berry Springs Park in Georgetown,
*Williamson,* most recently 9/16.

Reports for the Austin area RBA cover a 60 mile radius, centered on the
Capitol in downtown Austin. Bird sightings mentioned here have been
filtered and scrutinized by the compiler and are believed to be genuine.
When documentation or photographs were provided, that is mentioned along
with the other information about the bird(s) being seen. For questions or
