hello all,
i have a zenith television model sy3288dt that looks as though when it first
comes on the picture is overly saturated with red. if you observe the 'red
out' signal coming from the ta8891, it is signifigantly higher than the
green or blue. the feedback signal looks huge as well, i checked the voltage
on the ta8891 and saw that pin 29, red cut off filter is around 2v, p28 (red
drive filter) is 1.6v, the reason i think this signifigant is because the
respective pins for green and blue are about twice the amount. i added a
voltage divider as per a data sheet i found on this chip, and with it i can
completely remove red, or i can completely saturate it, but in bettween
looks washed out. is this an indication of a bad gun in the picture tube, or
is there a cheaper alternative to approach this problem?
