i have a zenith pvy5265rk bigscreen with a 9-1674 sweep and 9-1713 main. the original symptom was no video, (no power to the crt's whatsoever) but the unit had sound. i found the original 9-1674-2 to have several damaged compnents. all of which are available in the common repair kits. i found a replacement board (9-1674-3) that had already been repaired for a similar failure. after swapping the boards around the unit would power up the video and keep it on as long as nothing was plugged into the video input. with a video input plugged in the unit would shut down the video only. i dug in further and found the defective A-17196-05. after i replaced it the unit with an A-17196-12 it offered no video at all again. when you turn the unit out you can hear it start to fire up the crt's then it cuts out. are those 2 sweep boards interchangable? thanks -chris ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Remove: Send a blank email to techassist-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with remove as subject.
