Ron,
What exactly do you mean 'will not load tapes'?
Are you talking will not load carriage, if so, does motor try to run when you
insert tape?
Are you talking will not load tape around heads?
If so, main cam gear is broken.
The worm gear could also be split in half, a little super glue can repair this, 
or
I think the whole load assembly is available for $25.00
It's been a while, but I think I also had problems with right side of this
carriage, like split gear or something.
Probably the most common Goldstar this crosses to is GHV1290M
I've checked my records for many similar Goldstars, but see nothing with your
problem.
You need to explain 'will not load'.
