[TechAssist] Re: pt-51g36ce convergence problem

Have not ever seen or heard of a bad EPROM on a Panasonic PTV for poor
convergence. Usually always bad amps and/or open resistors. Tell us more
about this ic 7102. I would love to hear if others have had this to be a
common failure for convergence.

Subject: [TechAssist] pt-51g36ce convergence problem

Hello Everyone!

A customer called with a pt-51g36ce with poor convergence. I have heard
ic 7102 the eprom has been a problem with this set.Does the new eprom
come pre-programed? The reason I am asking is that I have a fairly
small shop and I would rather not have a big monster set taking up room
for too long. Have any off you guys had experience with this set. Do I
have hours of fun ahead of me resetting the convergence after eprom
replacement. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
