There is a daughter board with about 10 to 20 pins on each side of the board. This board has a number of bad ESM caps. All the video goes through this board so it should effect the tuner as well. Jeff. the symptom actually is poor video very over driven very dark, low brightness, twisting, almost scrambled looking, on tape only, tuner works fine. it looks similar to some pip modules when they are bad. i hate to give up, believe it or not, they will pay up to 100 bucks to have it fixed. but i am out of ideas.
